    CADSWES is pleased to announce RiverWare version 8.2, available January 7, 2021. Highlights include: new web service DMI to import data from HDB, USGS or CWMS web services; usability improvements for the model comparison tool; enhanced rule-priority display, plotting and object filtering; and new and improved script actions.

    The American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2020 Fall Meeting was held Dec. 1鈥17, 2020, in an all-virtual format. PhD candidates Nathan Bonham and David Woodson gave live oral presentations, and CADSWES, Bureau of Reclamation and NCAR researchers presented their collaborative research in a virtual poster session.

    鈥淯nderstanding and managing new risks on the Nile with the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam,鈥 was published in Nature Communications, Oct.聽16, 2020. The study identifies risks and benefits of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) to Nile countries and highlights the necessity of coordinated drought planning.

    At a press conference on Sept.聽15, 2020, Reclamation Commissioner Brenda Burman and Lower Colorado Regional Director Terry Fulp discussed the latest Colorado River Simulation Systems (CRSS) model forecasts. Decision support tools developed by CADSWES enable Reclamation to make operational decisions based on leading-edge technology and the best available science.
