Max S. Peters Faculty Service Award
The award recognizes outstanding service by faculty in the College of Engineering andÌýApplied Science to the profession of engineering, the college, the university, and/or the citizensÌýof the state of Colorado. Teaching, research, and tenured/tenure-track faculty areÌýeligible. The award is named after its first recipient, Max S. Peters, former dean of theÌýcollege and 1971 Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award recipient.Ìý
The service may be professional, civic, or of other character. The contribution of theÌýnominee should emphasize the individual’s concern for the common good, the willingness toÌýgive time, the understanding shown of others and their problems, the ability to draw togetherÌývaried resources, and the innovative means used to solve these problems. Nominations should emphasize both internal and external contributions to the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ, discussing the impact of the service to both the University and beyond.
The award is presented annually and the winner receives a stipend of $2,000.ÌýÌýAn individual may only be awarded this recognition one time.
