Herbst Fellows are scholars drawn from students enrolled in the Engineering, Ethics & Society Certificate Program and embody the program’s commitment to ethical practice and engaged scholarship.

Fellowship application process:

  • You can apply for the certificate at the same time as you apply for the fellowship.
  • Fellowship applicants must be students in good standing in the College of Engineering and Applied Science and must be enrolled in the certificate program.
  • Applicants must provide a personal statement (500-700 words) in response to the prompt.

How do you intend to further your interests in engineering, science and ethics? How do you see ethical questions affecting your future studies and professional choices?
