Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder has a rich cycling legacy, whether for daily commuting or the more than 120 national collegiate race titles. A few other highlights:

  • 1956: First National Bike to Work Day

  • 1970: First official Boulder bike path opens, led by Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØProfessor Al Bartlett (Roger Craraft and Al Bartlett in photo)

  • 2003-present: Buff Bicycle Classic each September has raised over $4.3M for scholarships

  • 2025: Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder named a Platinum Bicycle Friendly University
