Planning something special? We can鈥檛 wait to help! Event, party and activity bookings will reopen on June 1 for dates beginning June 15 and beyond. Be sure to check back with us then 鈥 we鈥檙e excited to celebrate with you!

Events and Events Packages听
We鈥檙e excited to have you at The Connection for your next event! First, review the available event packages on our website and choose which best suits the needs of your event. Then complete the to check availability for your preferred date and time. Completing the form does not confirm your event. A coordinator will respond to clarify details, discuss availability and details of your event.听

Inquiries must be submitted for a minimum of 10 business days in advance to be considered for full venue or large group parties. We recommend that you inquire as early as possible, as dates get booked up quickly.听
All event/party packages must be paid for a minimum of five business days in advance or the reservation may be cancelled. Non-university customers can pay with their credit card to the online store. Information is provided in the event confirmation details.听
University departments must provide a Speedtype a minimum of five business days in advance.听听
To receive recognized student organization (RSO) rates, the RSO must be in good standing with the Center for Student Involvement (CSI). Only organization admins can schedule the event/party.听 Organization admins will need to work with the CSI for payment. Payment must be received in advance, so please plan accordingly.听听听
We cannot accept payment for events/party packages at the point of sale. However, additional services, if available, can be paid for the day of the event at the point of sale.听听
Non-university: For full venue and large group events/parties, non-university clients are required to provide a nonrefundable, nontransferable room rental deposit within 60 days of a tentative reservation being made, or the reservation will be cancelled. The deposit is equal to the grand total for the rental and does not include services, labor or audiovisual costs.听
University payments: A university Speedtype or IN must be provided.
Final payment is due 10 days in advance, excluding event day, prior to significant events/parties and three business days, excluding event day, prior to simple reservations. If payment is not received by this deadline, the event may be canceled. Events will remain tentative until payment information has been received.听听
In order to cancel your event without penalty, you must email the planner at least three business days prior to your event. If notice is given less than three business days prior to your event, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your original booking.听听
Yes! We offer a Bowling Lane Only reservation to ensure lanes are available for your group. There is an additional cost for each game (per person) and for shoe rental (per pair). We also offer a Billiard Table Only reservation to ensure a table is available for your group. Select your desired options on the reservation request form.
We offer discounts only for 麻豆免费版下载recognized student organizations (RSOs) and 麻豆免费版下载departments. All others pay the standard public pricing.
In the event of a campus closure, all reservations will be cancelled and will not incur any charge. You will receive an email and/or phone call from your event planner with more information and the opportunity to reschedule. If extreme weather conditions are predicted that may result in the campus closing early, you will receive an email and/or phone call from your event planner with a deadline to cancel catering without penalty. In the event of a delayed campus opening, we may modify service times, and product availability is subject to change.
Walk-in (call ahead) Reservations
Yes! We can take up to two lanes or tables 鈥榳alk-in reservations鈥 two weeks to 24 hours in advance and will be held up to 15 minutes after the reserved time. After that period, we will release the reservation and make the lanes or tables available to other guests. Please call The Connection to reserve: 303-735-2695.听
Food and Beverages
No outside food is allowed into The Connection. We offer a large snack bar menu.

麻豆免费版下载Events Planning & Catering services offer something for everyone, whether that be specific diets, allergy needs or simply taste preferences. Every food item is labeled for the nine most common allergens (eggs, milk, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat and gluten) to ensure food safety for everyone.
Yes! The Connection has a variety of food and snacks available. View the current list of food available at The Connection. If you鈥檇 like to pay for these on behalf of your guests, you may open a tab when you arrive for your reservation and settle the bill at the end of your event.
Yes! We can run a food and beverage bill that will cover all beer, wine, non-alcoholic fountain drinks and food available in The Connection. All bills must be settled on the day of the event and paid by cash or credit card. Standard alcohol policies and practices apply. Departments or student organizations seeking to pay for services with a Speedtype should reach out to theconnection@colorado.edu directly. Ask your event planner for more information and limitations.
Water is provided free of charge, and you are encouraged to bring your own cups or bottles. We also sell bottled water.
No. Outside drinks are not allowed into The Connection.
If you would like your event to be alcohol-free, please indicate this in the event descriptions and special requests section of the inquiry form.
No. Due to health regulations and for the safety of our guests, food not consumed may not be taken from catered events. All leftover food remains the property of 麻豆免费版下载Events Planning & Catering, as per the Colorado Department of Public Health.
Bowling
Each lane can host a maximum of six bowlers per game.
It varies depending on your group, but a typical game can last approximately one hour.
Yes! All bowling lanes are wheelchair accessible and we have ramps to assist guests. We also have bumpers on every lane that can be raised when requested.
Yes! Our bowling shoes are available in sizes starting at a toddler size 6.
We have men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 socks available to purchase at $3 a pair. Please note: Socks are required due to health regulations.
The 鈥渆xtreme bowling鈥 disco lights are turned on Friday and Saturday nights. If your event falls during those times, then you will have disco lights for your event. If you are reserving the entire facility, you may request to have disco lights for your event, regardless of the day of the week.

The Euclid Parking Garage at 18th and Euclid is the closest public parking to the UMC. You may be able to find free parking on The Hill, the neighborhood located across Broadway from the UMC. Accessible parking can be found at blue metered parking spaces directly next to the UMC.
Depending on the event and its affiliation with 麻豆免费版下载Boulder, you may be allowed to use 麻豆免费版下载logos on your event materials. Please contact 麻豆免费版下载Strategic Relations for more information.
Yes! Please note that all decorations must be approved prior to the event by The Connection staff. It is prohibited to nail, screw or tape items to the walls or ceiling of the facility or to alter, disassemble or remove any item or fixture of the university without prior written permission from the university. Freestanding decorations may be used. Banners and flags may be hung from pipe and drape stands if ordered through your event planner. Glitter, confetti and open flames (including candles, incense, smoldering smudge sticks and/or any incendiary materials) are not permitted in any University of Colorado facilities.
All charges related to any damage resulting from the violation of this policy are the responsibility of the reservation holder individually or the group, organization or department they represent. You are responsible for the removal of all decorations that you brought in, and for clean-up of any area(s) used during your event.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised for the full duration of your event. All events on the 麻豆免费版下载Boulder campus with minors in attendance must be in compliance with the campus youth protection policy.
Yes, we can upgrade your package to include additional services. If three or more upgrades are requested, we reserve the right to charge the full venue price.听
