What is a training clinic?
The ABL Clinic serves the community while providing training for doctoral students in the clinical psychology program. Evaluations are conducted by doctoral students, under close supervision of licensed, doctoral-level clinical psychologists. Additionally, the clinic collects data for research studies on childhood learning and disorders.
What is the cost of an evaluation through the ABL Clinic?
- Evaluation with a doctoral student: $2,100
- Evaluation with a clinical psychologist: $3,200 (very limited availability and cannot be guaranteed)
As a training clinic, we can offer fees lower than typical community rates. We are unable to bill insurance or Medicaid/Medicare. We do offer a limited number of scholarship slots to help families regardless of financial need. Please email or call us for details.
Do you have a waitlist?
Unfortunately, we often have a waitlist of several months due to high demand. Contact us for current waitlist times. A $100 non-refundable fee is required to be added to the waitlist. This fee is applied to your evaluation cost if you move forward, or it serves as a donation to our clinic’s scholarship fund if you do not.
Do you provide psychotherapy services?
No, the ABL Clinic provides assessment services only. For psychotherapy services, please reach out to the Raimy Clinic at 303-492-5177 or raimy@colorado.edu.
