ME-EM On Coursera
The Master of Engineering in Engineering Management (ME-EM)Ìýis offered through an innovative partnership with Coursera and includes performance-based admissions, flexible 8-week terms, and asynchronous courses. The ME-EM on Coursera is ideal for individuals interested in growing their management careers in the engineering and technical sectors.ÌýWith performance-based admissions, you can enroll right away into the Master of EngineeringÌýdegree in Engineering Management. No transcripts or applications are required.
WithÌý6 start dates per year, you can begin pursuing the Master of EngineeringÌýin Engineering ManagementÌýwhenever you are ready. Courses are 8 weeks long and self-paced, but all for-credit coursework must be submitted by the last day of the 8-week session. See theÌýsession calendarÌýfor exact dates.
Graduation Ceremony and Regalia Information
In order to walk in the commencement ceremony, students are strongly encouraged to wear approved regalia. Master’s students should wear regalia purchased online from the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder Bookstore. The regalia set includes the gown, hood, cap/tam, tassel and is yours to keep. Master’s students will wear denoting your field of study (Orange for Engineering). Your may purchase the four items online from the or in person from Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder Bookstore in the UMC. ÌýThe items will be shipped directly to your home. International shipping may be expensive. Please email emp-Coursera@colorado.edu to make arrangements. Please select orange for your since you will be receiving a Master of Engineering degree.
The deadline to order regalia online for spring 2026 ceremonies is the second week of April.
2026 Campuswide Commencement (No tickets or registration required)
TheÌý2026 university ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. MDT Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Folsom Field stadium. Livestream links with captions in English and Spanish will be available on theÌýhomepage the morning of the commencement ceremony.

Curriculum
The ME-EM is a non-thesis degree that requires 30 credit hours of coursework. You must complete 12 credits of core coursework in finance, project management, authentic leadership, and communicationÌýand 18 credits of elective coursework across a variety of topic areas, including technology entrepreneurship, product development, ethical decision making, and more.

You may enroll in the non-credit versions of the ME-EM curriculum, allowing you to preview courses before committing to the degree program. You may upgrade from non-credit to for-credit at any time during your learning journey. Additional material and assessments must be completed to earn credit; this material is only available after you pay tuition.
